Contemplation and conviviality on the cusp of the boreal forest.

a creative research project based on Treaty 6 territory / SK

An investigation and contemplation of the ethics and aesthetics of land-based artistic practice.

Through a process of learning, listening and reflection, I aim to develop a practice that advances the work of (re)conciliation while considering new ways of working that are less harmful to the environment and other people. I hope to develop a practice that fosters conviviality and friendship as conditions for artmaking while bringing artistic thinking, creativity, and new expressive forms into the world.

Learning

Listening

“Colonialism is a cognitive, effective relational impairment based on illusions of separation that have damaged our relationship with ourselves, with each other, with other species and the land”.
